High Rope Tree Top Adventure Course

Advance initiative, problem-solving and communication skills with the high rope adventure course among the beautiful tuart and pine trees of the historic Ludlow Tuart Forest.

The 77 activities of varying height and difficulty are designed to individually challenge, improve confidence and provide a high sense of achievement for participants - together with a lot of fun, thrills and adrenaline!

The courses are paced, starting off at just 3 metres and working right up to 19 metres above the forest floor. The aerial activities increase in difficulty; getting wobblier, longer and more challenging as the student progresses. A buddy system can be used to develop relationships, confidence and communication.

Students of all ages (from 7 years old) and abilities are supported by trained instructors ensuring a fun, safe and rewarding experience.

Time required: 2.5 hours (includes harnessing and safety briefing)

Archery

The 15-lane archery range is designed to develop concentration, patience and perseverance. Students challenge themselves individually, contributing results to a team contest.

The instructors teach techniques to improve accuracy and distance with a recurve bow. As students’ confidence and skills develop the shooting distances can be extended to a maximum of 15 metres.

Students of all ages (from 7 years old) and abilities are supported by trained instructors ensuring a fun, safe and rewarding experience.

Team Challenge Course

Designed so that students learn the fundamental skills of how to work together to achieve a common goal, our team building sessions include a variety of activities specifically tailored to each group.

Students are required to work in small groups, delegating roles and responsibilities while using their communication and problem-solving skills. The activities present students with turns and obstacles where they must work collectively to successfully complete the tasks and reach their goal.

PARK SAFETY AND WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK

All activities are fully supervised by our staff who have current working with children checks. Our high ropes course uses an advanced safety system allowing students to make their way around the park independently. More information on our safety standards.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE AND HEIGHT?

Participants must be 7 years or older AND minimum 110 cm tall.

Course access depends on participant age:

• 7 - 8 years old: courses 1 - 3

• 9 - 10 years old: courses 1 - 5

• 11 + years old: all courses

GROUP SIZES

High Ropes operates with a maximum of 30 students per induction (one induction per hour). For school groups with more than 30 students, we can offer alternative activities for them to rotate through like Archery, Shelter Building and Bush Survival, and Team Challenge activities.

WHAT IS THE MAX. WEIGHT?

The maximum weight we allow for our high rope course is 120 kg. Please notify our staff if you weigh more than 100 kg to have an appropriate harness fitted.

SPECIAL NEEDS

We welcome all students to participate in our activities. Some students who have learning or mobility challenges will require different staff supervision ratios. Please contact our friendly staff to discuss your needs.
